Preparation and baking time: 1 hour
Makes: 60 pieces
Ingredients:
For white dough:
100g plain four
25g rice flour
½ tsp baking powder
50g Nestle Nestum cereal
100g butter
50g caster sugar
½ tsp vanilla essence
For chocolate dough:
75g plain flour
25g rice flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
½ tsp baking powder
50g Nestle Nestum cereal
100g butter
50g caster sugar
½ tsp vanilla essence
Method:
In a bowl, sift together plain flour, rice flour and baking powder; stir in Nestum, set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until mixed. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
Fold in flour mixture and mix well until it becomes a soft dough.
Do the same to the chocolate dough.
Roll the white dough to 1cm thick until all the dough is used. Do the same to the chocolate dough.
Arrange the roll dough alternately into 9 roll. Then cut into 1cm thickness and place on baking tray.
Bake in preheated 180°C oven for 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown. Remove from oven and let it cool before storing in airtight container.
