Manipulative child

We discuss it
They don't because my husband and I usually discuss first whether we should allow them to do something or go somewhere. Sometimes my husband will ask me what I think, whether I think we should let them do that. We also try to include my husband's family in it because the children live with them. They are bringing them up so we need to know what they say about it and how they feel.  - Vanitha Nadaraj, mother of one boy and two girls aged nine to 12

No lying
So far we haven't had this problem because we always stress on no lying and we teach them to be good children. We always tell them to be honest. My children go to church every Sunday and I think they are learning good values from church and Sunday School. - Shoba Raman, mother of two boys and a girl aged between eight and 14

Minor matters only
They only do it for very minor things like having ice-cream. It's nothing major that would cause a lot of friction or anything like that. - Michelle Nunis, mother of two boys aged eight and 11
