Beethoven's Big Break

Cast: Jonathan Silverman and Moises Arias
Running time: 100 minutes
Distributor: Berjaya HVN

OUR loveable, huggable furry hero with boundless energy is back for the sixth time. The St Bernard plays a stray that gets picked up by an animal trainer's son, Billy Bob (Arias), and starts following the lad home.

Billy Bob names him Beethoven, after discovering that the pooch has a liking for Ludwig van Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.

However, things quickly turn sour when the kitchen is turned upside down, no thanks to the dog's insatiable appetite.

That's about the time when Billy Bob's dad Eddie (Silverman) returns home, dejected.

Eddie, a single parent and struggling animal trainer, just lost his job and now discovers that there is a monstrous dog in his kitchen.

Our lovable St Bernard has certainly come a long way from his first movie. Even though he has clearly aged, our boy is till top dog all the way.

The DVD has 20 scene selections of Beethoven's deliberate goof shots. - Review by ANTHONY THANASAYAN
