Barbie: A Perfect Christmas

Voice cast: Diana Kaarina, Rachel Harrison, Lauren Lavoie, Ashlyn Drummond
Running time: 74 minutes

This is a great movie for your little girls. They will love it and it'll get them into the mood for Christmas, too. The songs have been updated to suit 2011 and your girls will be singing and dancing along in no time.

The story is about Barbie and her sisters Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea. They are off to New York for the “perfect Christmas.” All four of them have their own plans this Christmas. Barbie's off to watch a theatre show; Skipper is off to watch her friend's band play – they're due to play a song she's written; Stacie can't wait to go ice-skating; and Chelsea is eager to go feed the sea lions at the zoo.

The girls are super excited about their “perfect Christmas.”

However, because of the bad snow storm, they end up in Tannenbaum. That's where they meet Christie Clauson, the inn keeper, who is preparing for Christmas.

Barbie doesn't know what to do and feels like she's let her sisters down by breaking her promise of taking them to New York for the perfect Christmas.

While the girls do not end up going to New York, they do end up having fun together – searching for Chelsea, having a snow ball fight and even playing with some dogs.

Then Barbie has a great idea for Skipper. Why not have a concert at the inn and debut her song there!

Babie and her sisters have to pitch in to make the night a success. Stacie and Chelsea have to learn to work together. Barbie has to learn to take a back seat and let Skipper organise her concert the way she wants to.

Unfortunately, everything goes wrong when the dogs start chasing a squirrel and mess up the whole stage area and decorations.

It is up to the girls to make it all right again … with a little bit of Christmas magic.

I am not a Barbie fan. However, I have to say, I liked this Christmas musical. Barbie and her sisters learn about family and siblings and the true meaning of Christmas.

This is just what your girls will enjoy this Christmas and more so if they are Barbie fans. - Review by S.N.
