Singer Mariah Carey has twins with actor/comedian husband Nick Cannon. They are daughter Monroe and son Moroccan Scott – born last year.

Carey tells OK magazine:

“It's hard to have kids in this world. I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who’ve had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples.

“I feel like, in a lot of ways, children come into the world to teach us. It’s going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded.

“I couldn’t just be like: ‘I’m having a child, yay. Let me get a nanny, so I can give her the baby - take the kid.’ That doesn’t work for me. I don’t believe in that.

“I am looking forward to spending quality time with the babies and Nick, and that’s our plan.”
