Usborne delights with colourful, fun tales

The Usborne books can be found at the MPH Bookstores.

If you are a regular at the MPH Bookstores, you would have noticed a wonderful series featured prominently – the Usborne books.

These books have been published with your children in mind, taking into account the different levels of reading and vocabulary.

The books consist of classic stories we remember and some stories that are new to us adults. The books are divided into different levels and series to suit each child. Some of the books even come with an audio CD for children who love to read along as they hear the storyteller bring the book to life.

The Usborne Reading Programme was launched in 2002, and has since sold over six million books worldwide. With a collection of over 200 titles, the programme consists of seven levels within which a wide variety of titles is designed to capture the imagination and build the confidence of beginner readers, and also to motivate and inspire those who find reading difficult or dull.

The books are carefully graded and from one level to the next, there is a gradual but clear progression in terms of subject, style, story length, sentence structure and vocabulary. This gives children the satisfaction of mastering real books and making measurable progress.

From classic tales to lively non-fiction and from exquisite watercolours to cartoons, there is something to appeal to everyone.
