A total of 100 children from three different orphanages were recently treated to a Hari Raya shopping spree.
The children were from Pusat Jagaan Baitus Sakinah Wal Mahabbah, Kota Warisan Sepang; Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim/ Miskin Taman Baiduri Sepang; and Rumah Kebajikan Baitul Hidayah, Puchong.
The children, aged five to 17, started the day with breakfast, courtesy of Cyberview. They then proceeded to shop for new outfits - baju kurung sets for the girls and baju melayu sets for the boys including shoes for the upcoming Raya celebration.
“I am very happy that I could go out with my friends from the home today for Hari Raya shopping and I am grateful that Cyberview and the other companies decided to spend their day with us,” said Adawiyah Solehuddin, seven, from Pusat Jagaan Baitus Sakinah Wal Mahabbah.
She added that this year would be a memorable Raya as she would have a chance to wear new clothes which she picked personally instead of hand-me-downs like the past years.
The day ended with a lunch of KFC with the staff of Cyberview, stakeholders’ representatives and volunteers. There were bright smiles plastered on the children's faces as they eagerly exchanged stories of their shopping spree while enjoying their lunch.
